The Tenzing Norgay Trail Run is a celebration of endurance, heritage, and the spirit of exploration inspired by the legendary mountaineer Tenzing Norgay.

Set in the historic hill town of Darjeeling, this run takes participants across a unique mixed-terrain course that connects the landscapes that define the region.

In a single run, participants will experience:

Forest trails

Tea gardens

Village paths

Hill roads

River crossings

Mountain views

The event is scheduled during the Everest Day weekend, honouring the legacy of the historic ascent of Mount Everest and celebrating the journey, preparation, and resilience that define every great summit.

Participants can choose between two race categories:

32 KM – Long Course

Designed for experienced runners seeking a challenging Himalayan trail experience.

16 KM – Short Course

Ideal for runners beginning their journey into trail running while still experiencing the beauty and diversity of Darjeeling’s landscapes.

The Tenzing Norgay Trail Run aims to promote trail running culture, outdoor fitness, and sustainable mountain tourism while showcasing the natural and cultural heritage of the Darjeeling hills.
