The 1st Sahyadri Hills Marathon 2026 is a community running event organized by the Alumni Vichar Manch, Shiposhi, in association with the 1990–91 batch of Justice Vai. V. Vidya Mandir and Junior College, Shiposhi. 

The event is being held with the theme: “Ek Run – For Marathi Language, Marathi School and Environment”

Set against the scenic Sahyadri and Konkan landscape, the event brings together runners and the local community for a celebration of running, Marathi culture, education and environmental awareness.

Race Categories

21.1 KM Half Marathon – Open category, Men & Women, 18+ years

10 KM Marathon – Open category, Boys & Girls, 16+ years

5 KM Fun Run – Open participation, 9+ years

Date: Sunday, 15 November 2026

Flag-off: 6:00 AM

Start & Finish: Shri Dev Gangeshwar Temple, Shiposhi, Taluka Lanja, District Ratnagiri, Maharashtra

21.1 KM Route

Shiposhi → Salpe → Kochari → Chinchurtti → Kelwali → Shiposhi

10 KM Route

Shiposhi → Salpe → Kochari → Salpe → Shiposhi

5 KM Route

Shiposhi → Salpe Ghag Dukan → Salpe Boudhawadi → Salpe Boudhawadi Arch → Shiposhi Ozar → Bainggaon Arch → Shri Dev Gangeshwar Temple

Registration Fees

21.1 KM: ₹1,200 

10 KM: ₹800 

5 KM Fun Run: ₹400 

A 20% discount is mentioned by the organizers for eligible 21.1 KM and 10 KM participants under early-bird/group schemes.
