EVENT OVERVIEW

The Manipal Marathon 2027 returns for its 9th edition on 14 February 2027 at KMC Greens, MAHE, Manipal.

What began as a student-led initiative at Manipal Academy of Higher Education has grown into a major community running event, bringing together students, alumni, families, athletes and runners from across India and beyond.

The 2027 edition carries the message “From Campus to Community – Every Step Matters”, highlighting health, inclusivity, community participation and positive social impact.

RACE-DAY SCHEDULE

The official race-rules page currently specifies the following start times:

5:00 AM – 42K Full Marathon

5:30 AM – 21K Half Marathon

6:00 AM – 10K Competitive Run

6:20 AM – 5K Competitive Run

START GATE CLOSURE

Start gates for each timed race category close 15 minutes after the respective start time.

Participants are advised to reach their start corral at least 20 minutes before their race start. Runners starting after gate closure may be permitted at the discretion of race officials but will not be eligible for official rankings or awards.

AIMS / WORLD ATHLETICS CERTIFIED ROUTES

The Manipal Marathon features professionally measured race routes, with the event website highlighting IAAF/AIMS-certified routes.

The 42K, 21K, 10K and 5K courses are designed to meet recognized road-racing measurement standards.
